To ensure safety, the Fuyang municipal government has issued an announcement that it plans to suspend water intake from Fuchun River from 12:00 noon on the 18th. Judging from the monitoring results and hydrological data, the intake of drinking water sources in Hangzhou was not affected that morning.

After the accident, Hangzhou and local governments initiated emergency plans for environmental emergencies and organized personnel to install dams at both ends of the leakage channels of tetrachloroethane and downstream ditch to intercept and collect ground leakage and prevent further pollution.
